Pink Tourmaline and diamond ring

I've had this pear shaped pink tourmaline in my collection for some time, and it has always been waiting for inspiration to strike.

When I began carving wax rings specifically for individual stones this seemed the right path to take with this stone so here we have it. 5.44cts of dazzling pink tourmaline cabochon highlighted by the addition of some small diamonds all set in 18ct yellow gold.
