Purple opal , diamond, silver and 18ct yellow gold ring

Purple is not a colour normally associated with opals but these stunning natural opaque rose cut stones are really beautiful.

The opal in this ring is 3.11cts and is a free formed, irregular shaped rose cut.

The irregularity of the opal is mirrored in the assymetrically placed accent diamonds, also set in 18ct yellow gold.

The silver band was initially hand carved in wax and then converted to sterling silver by the lost wax casting method.

As this stone is natural, this is a unique ring, it may be possible to source similar stones.
